PDC 2005
Materials from My Talk
| PowerPoint Slide Deck I’ve included a zipped version as well. I had hoped that this would make it an easier download, but I must have some big stuff in there because the zip file only shaved off a little. |

| Demo Source Code Here is the source code from the demos. This targets the September CTP version of the WinFX runtime components. These are the same bits that we gave out with “The Goods” at the PDC. |
Watch it From Home
All of the PDC talks have been made publicly available for a limited time. You can watch my talk from the comfort of your own home (and by comfort, I mean at your desk watching a medium size window on your computer screen.) Watch it here.
Slashdot
Someone on Slashdot noticed my talk! At least I think it was my talk…let me imagine, okay?
Demo Screenshots
| Demo Version This is the version of PhotoStore that we build up during the demo. You’ll notice that this version is pretty simple, but uses each of the technologies that I covered during the talk: styles, data templates, control templates, triggers and storyboards. |
|
| Pro Version Though a professional version of the PhotoStore application is probably not very realistic (unless you know someone who orders greeting cards and t-shirts made from digital photos as a profession), but this is the profession incantation of the app. It has pretty good example of a ListView (a new control for the September CTP). |
|
| Consumer Version This is a consumer version of PhotoStore called PhotoFrog that incorporates some of the elements of the fictional PhotoFrog brand. This version includes some of the control styles created by Frog Design including a super cool ProgressBar style. |
|
| MCE (10′) Version This version of PhotoStore is designed to be an MCE (Media Center Edition) experience. This version is theoretically engaging from a distance and call also be navigated using the remote control (nevermind that we didn’t include the upload button…). |
